I’ll wait for more announcement about the creative team hired for this. Although having Nintendo being heavily hands on makes me worry, the Super Mario Bros movie ended up being just a 1h30 min commercial for the IP and I’m almost sure this was Nintendo’s doing.

I wonder why Nintendo always lie about new consoles instead of saying “no comment”.
