It has just struck me recently how many non-news stories pop up like this on both sites. What is really interesting is when both sites review the same car, I love the different opinions from enthusiast sites, as opposed to Motor Trend or Auto Week.
This seems like an accurate take to me. I’ve driven a Festiva and an iQ on multi-day road trips*, because I am a masochist who loves small cars. A Fit seems like it would be a step up!
Aren’t those the coffee beans they pick out of puma poo?
Commenters: Hold my beer...
The journalistic pipeline continues. The Drive had this story yesterday, without the Vox link, which is from April. What the hell goes on between these two sites? I can understand covering the same news, but having the same “Style” section stories?
Star for the Peter Falk Columbo reference. Hope it gets you out of the gray!
“So That’s a Matador.”
They couldn’t have just said “oh yeah, we have this, too” and rolled out a Maverick?

The last bar of 6 starts flashing, which means I’ve used around 6 gallons of my 8.5 gallon tank. I usually have 250-260 miles on my trip odometer at that point. ~40 miles per gallon. In 7+ years, I think I have put over 7 gallons in my tank 2-3 times, usually on road trips. No free car wash* for me!

So what about the magnets clamped to my fuel line? Have I been scammed again? (I drive a Scion iQ, I’ll fall for anything! :D )
Not to be too graphic but.... How about the literal meaning: “I have a big dick”? Probably on a bro-dozer who is obviously compensating for the exact opposite!
Snide H2 mileage comments aside, there really isn’t much of a story here. 20 gallons of gas in what appear to be the charred and melted remains of approved fuel containers could easily be stock-up for weekend yard work, boating excursion or many other legitimate activities.
Checker. Designed a car in the 50's (1960 model year) and decided... eh, good enough, build it for 20 years. They looked old when they were new and I love them.
