The fact that he had to title and register it as a Pontiac didn’t tip him off?

...And Brammo started producing electric bikes in 2009, but the original comment was about “mainstream” motorcycle manufacturers.

They had a street legal electric supermoto in like 2015.

You forgot about about takeaway number 3:

Akchuawly... KTM came out with an electric trail bike back in like 2014

...Or it’s just full of rust from never being changed. Whenever I’ve flushed the cooling system on an iron block car that’s long overdue, it comes out looking like diarrhea

Yeah... I see his point. Personally, I thought the P72 was the Glickenhaus car the first time I saw it... But talking about all the work that went into styling the P4/5 is kind of like when people jerk off the designer of the 05-06 Ford GT.

$500 for a 106,000 XJ? You could barrel roll that down a hill, put that on Craigslist for $500, and it’d be gone by the weekend.

Yes and no... There’s a lot more deaths at the IOM, but I think a lot of it is simply the fact that Pikes Peak is about 12 miles and an IOM TT is about 226 miles...for each individual race. And racers typically participate in many different races over the course of a week... plus practices.

In my county you can be fined up to $2500 for making noise that can be heard from 35 feet away.

Your curveball didn’t curve far enough. If you replaced the 3 with a CX-9 in your original post, the joke probably would’ve landed.

Suggesting a Fiat or Mini over a Fiesta ST? There’s new ones all over Autotrader for under $19k... And it’s a Ford, meaning it won’t break down nearly as often as a 3rd tier European car, and won’t cost nearly as much to repair when it does.

5th Gen Camaros are down in the $25k range now... Hard to beat an LS3/TR-6060 drivetrain for fun and reliability.

Pretty sure that’s a portrait of Krang from TMNT, bro.

I’m picturing the part where the owner was hitting the unlock button on the fob while the guy in the car was simultaneously hitting the lock button on the door with the cops trying to grab the door handle at the exact right moment.

That, and most downtown areas are already fully developed. Building a new parking garage in just about any downtown would mean first tearing down several occupied buildings.

Now that more manufacturers have taken to putting handlebars on their superbikes and selling them as sport-nakeds, I imagine they’ll first try to come up with a way to further neuter the bikes beyond just banning ones that came with factory clip-ons.

I’ve had the privilege of bouncing through runoff areas at a few different tracks, and I can tell you there’s not that many different ways to wreck a bike. His fatal mistake was where he crashed, not how.

Agreed. If typical press fits exceeded the tensile strength of a bolt of the same diameter, 3-jaw pullers wouldn’t be a tool that exists.

I imagine oxygen deprivation at altitude has been a bigger factor than riders trying to push extra hard at the top.
