What I was saying is that seems like it would take more time than hooking the truck up to a wheel and dragging the car out of the way. I didn't realize they kinked that easy but even if going under or over the car doesn't make sense I'd think yanking the car out of the way with a truck would be easy.

It looks like it has a 90 on it but maybe that's something else. Good point either way.

I'm sure they did that to troll them. Which seems like a waste of time given there was a fire to put out. Why not just pull the car out of the way, or go over the hood?

Yeah. That is such a screwed situation.

I am usually the kind of person to say well why didn't they do x to avoid the crash? Even I think he was pretty much fucked here. He didn't know where the truck was going. His best option would have been to pop it into reverse as soon as he saw the truck but that would be hard to do in time when a cement truck is

That's pretty normal if something goes wrong in any sort of racing. First you need to get off the track then get out. Really the only time I see people getting out on track is in F1 when their car falls apart in the middle of the track.

That GIF is so misleading. Based on that I was like "Holy shit I hope he's not injured!" Looking at the footage you realize its a boilerplate NASCAR fire, which I'm sure is still scary if you're in one .

Yeah. I wouldn't call him a bright person.

I was talking to a guy that worked at an Autozone one day. He claimed to have replaced the foam in his bumpers with several sharpened bolts on each end so if he ever got in a crash he would "fuck shit up" in his words. He is the biggest idiot I have ever seen.

I agree with this. I'd shit my pants going into those corners.

Imagine braking as late as you can from top speed in a car that sacrifices handling for speed. Then getting on the throttle and doing it again.

Why not do the sensible thing and add two lanes and conventional light rail down the middle like the Chicago Loop?

That is at the latest a '73 with that grill. Its also not a later (for that grill) Z28 because it doesn't have the goofy retainer bumper.

What car wouldn't you customize because you like it stock too much? Essentially what car do you think is perfect from the factory?

That the Mercedes-Benz W125 rekordwagen made 725 horsepower with an under square (82x88) 340ci (5.6L) V12 and went 268mph on the autobahn in 1938. Supercharged or not its still amazing they made that kind of power back then, especially with bores that small.

Sexy sexy AN fittings

I really miss the days of the Bolivia special. Now all the specials are so staged it takes away from what made them so cool.

This one seemed more staged than usual, which is something I wasn't happy about. I was expecting that from the minute they said they were building a bridge over a river. There is no way any part of that would be safe enough to actually happen.

While I would be grateful to be alive in a situation like that I'd be upset too if they just left me for dead. That's a dick move on their part.

Maybe I'm missing some sarcasm but how is that not an achievement?
