“They want a $5000 car for $500". I did not see a single car worth more than $1500 in any of those photos. Most are in fact $500 parts cars. However if anyone has his contact info I might want to talk to him about that red r107 SL. Worthless whole but it does have some parts I’d buy it for.

“their corolla”

It is entirely their fault. Especially after the first car wrecked. They’re directly causing accidents.

Too bad the longevity, interior, and NVH will still remind you its a cheap car. The cost savings come from somewhere people.

My neighbor has an e49 wagon with a blown engine. I keep trying to get him to put a M62 in it.

Get a nice used E430 wagon for sub $5000 and spend about about $1000 fixing it,installing a trailer hitch, and putting good brakes on it(CLK500 brakes bolt on). If you want to be really cool you can get some lowering springs and monoblocks. They make about 300hp and get the job done. If you want 4 wheel drive there

Oh so he’s the dick because he is running his own business in a neighborhood with no restrictions on that? Maybe you should move your petty self to a neighborhood that will coddle your sensitive eyes.

He has every right to park it there, its not permanent, and it looks a lot better than some home built rec room. It doesn’t lower land values because its not permanent and it looks well maintained. I would agree with you if it was covered in moss or something. If people can’t handle their neighbors having a life they

If it weren’t for the classes designed to allow people to be competitive with FWD they wouldn’t be very successful.

Let me take a useful economy car and ruin everything good about it in the pursuit of building a horrible sports car.

The only things that are truly going to make cars more efficient are lower drag and lower weight. We’re reaching a point of diminishing returns with gas engines and electric cars are still an expensive pipe dream. Insights are lame but get 70mpg because of they’re light and have a dorky aerodynamic shape not their

This is true but I’m assuming they did at least weld the diff well enough that its stronger than the axles. Long term fatigue from winding up the axles every time you turn will make them fail.

Its terrible on a street car. I’ve driven other people’s welded diff drift cars and its so bad at low speed. You have to slide the car to avoid wheel hop on tight turns. I can maybe see it if you have a $500 crap can E30 or fox body you only drive on the street when going to drift events where you don’t mind allowing

Junkyard LSDs do exist however. I have a few mercs, a brand that is notorious for only having auto transmissions and open diffs, one of mine is a factory 5 speed with a $50 junkyard LSD from a 4matic. Quit your whining.

A spool is functionally as bad as a welded diff. If you need your car to turn you want the wheels to be able to spin ad different speeds. Get a junkyard LSD.

Cons: Shitty low speed handling, breaking axles, and being a fuckboi.

Its likely he took the cash and was able to “buy it back”. So in reality he got his car fixed and didn’t put much of his own money into it. Still not a great financial move but less insane then spending $170,000 on a car with 250,000 miles.

You mean doubts about owning a VW? BMW and Mercs are way less shitty.

First off they’re cops so I don’t feel bad about what car they have to sit in. I’d love to see them in 20 year old Tauruses with no sound deadening. In addition to that vans are nice for hanging out in.
