At this point any late model mid to fullsize domestic in white or a dark color has me covering the brake. I drive like an ass 30,000 miles a year without a radar detector and I haven’t had a ticket in a few years at least.

There are people who do need a car and get paid poorly. For example I live in central Indiana and if you’re not going to school like I am your employment opportunities are basically work in one of the three factories in town and if you can’t cut it there you end up having a blue collar job on a work site. You cant…
Something that is often overlooked with this is assessing who if anyone is in danger due to their own stupidity or disregarding a law. Assuming the self driving car will not speed and will not run a red light the “driver” should not get killed to save a group of jaywalkers. I’m glad this addressed that.
There will never be a corvette with the engine behind the driver. The current corvette is front mid, the base costs $50,000, and is the amazing plastic rocket. That is a huge cash cow for GM.
Are you actually trying to make the would be hijackers look like victims here? Good on the trucker for blowing past those assholes. I don’t care what shithole they’re trying to escape trying to hold up a truck is not ok.
LS is master race. Anything else is a compromise.
To get the most out of the daylight. You want people on the road heading home before it gets dark and neighbors get upset.
Watch footage of someone like Senna driving. They had great angles in the 90's and you can see him moving all over the place. I also feel most drivers want the open cockpit given they put so much effort into taking that specific path of racing.
What’s exciting about open cockpit is you can see the driver and there is some element of danger. Open cockpit racing is cool for a lot of the reasons motoGP is cool. F1 and indy are already so regulated with stunted technology having a real closed cockpit is going to result in a less exciting LMP race.
This is something drivers should be able to decide and not something for public “outrage”.
This is so stupid. It doesn’t matter if 1% of people remove smog equipment on cars that likely aren’t going to be used as daily drivers. The important thing is that its there from the factory and sally soccer mom leaves it alone to avoid getting a CEL.
Ha! We finally have a USDM part Euros will want. Suck it! Too bad its for a Tesla but I’ll still take it.
Ugh I am not a fan of this writing style that takes over two dozen paragraphs to make a simple point.
I’m in Indiana and I have a beater truck for work that has been abused for the last 25 years. It has had at least two trees fall on it and I regularly haul more than one engine in the bed without a liner. It does just fine. Lots of surface rust and it looks terrible but other than the cab corners and wheel arches on…
They do in St. Louis
Rust takes more than a few years to form. There are plenty of 25+ year old trucks that have rust up the sides of the bed and still do their job fine. Also if something put a hole in aluminum tape isn’t going to do much for you.
Pushrod master race
Trucks that get used have dents. Its the nature of the hauling stuff. Unless you only haul boxes for the packing peanut factory you’re going to have something heavy in the bed at some point and need to brake hard. Then the bed bends forward and makes that awful squeaking sound.
Landscaping blocks no. Throwing the drive train from a broken subaru in the bed and then taking it to the junkyard as a core yes. My truck bed is full of dents from putting all kinds of heavy and sharp objects in it.
