Yeah or a family eating supper but I don't think that's the entire point of the ad. They are probably marketing this to people like me or my father (aka me with money). They probably want to grab my attention and have me chose the one with the Lamborghini on the box over the one that costs the same and offers the same

Actually the 2 front 1 rear trike design is for stability. Think Reliant Robbin or Harley trike versus a can-am.

I've always figured that fits into good marketing. I mean I'd rather see a supercar in the advertising for a product than a Camry.

How are you so dense that you can't differentiate the two sets of circumstances and see why you can't justify one bad thing with another?

not when they're locked up

You're just pissed that I'm right and you don't even have an argument anymore. What the hell are you even trying to say?

To a point. I guess I just don't like that it shakes but I guess what I am feeling is the car telling me a wheel has locked up.

From my experience ABS tends to lock, then unlock, and repeat. That's what I've seen anyway. I don't know what you've worked on but my friend's G37 is even that way where if he just get the ABS to go on the car shakes a ton and leaves a bunch of intermittent skid marks that allows the driver to give it some steering

Its a separate problem, not related to this one dumbass. You can't use one problem to justify another.

I'm saying they're not relevant to this discussion. Do you know what that means? You can't compare apples to pears even though they are similar.

eeeeeeh, threshold braking is going to give you a shorter stopping distance and is a lot smoother. Not to say that ABS is bad, I just wish it wasn't so intrusive when I don't want it there. Still does its job well.

Most those fires are not from accidents. Read the report. I've done the math for you but you can read the report and double check it if you want each year there is a 1/30,000 that your car is going to get in a crash and catch on fire. Its way more common with the Model S.

Yeah, I mean this is in my pos daily driver that I auto-x for fun. Most the things I race don't even have ABS but that's a whole other situation.

I wouldn't call it unrecoverable. In my experience a car with one locked wheel is still fairly controllable with a bit of steering from the wheel that still has grip if its a front. Assuming the other three are still at a reasonable amount of slip you have three good contact points. As soon as two go that's when

Exactly. A 10 year old car catches on fire as long as its not grossly negligent who cares? It could be all sorts of things. 1 year old car catches on fire in multiple similar cases I say the manufacturer should fix that.

1) That report states exactly what I said. So far the amount of accident related fires is way above the average.

Are you just trolling? The whole point of ABS is so when someones driving and get surprised by something and instinctively slam on the brakes. It allows them to turn and avoid the problem all together while giving the car way too much brake. Also helps them keep it under control especially if its a truck with strong

I agree but one tire slipping probably isn't going to send you sliding out of control. I really wish ABS came on later too.

It allows people to turn while braking...
