I'm sure if BlackBerry goes bankrupt or whatever, that QNX will be spun off or sold to someone else. It's unlikely it will go away completely. Hell, maybe Ford will buy it.

QNX predates BlackBerry. It's a very robust, real-time version of Unix, the operating system that's the inspiration for Linux and OS X. BB bought the technology in 2010.
