Sweet suffering Jesus it was a great scene.

In fairness, Tony did try to get them some oversight, even if it didn’t work.

Yeah, but you’re arriving at the point Moore is making. Superheroes don’t cause fascism, but grown people retreating into simplistic morality tales for children is a symptom of a failing society. It’s a marker of where we already were going.

The Flag Smashers deliberately killed innocent people to call attention to their political point of view. Still not sure what that point of view was, but it’s impossible to sympathize with textbook terrorism, regardless.

You keep using this word “spruik” and I think it’s awesome

They’re  American. Of course they only started paying attention (and that’s probably being charitable) when Trump got elected.

I know there are people who like HotD, but my partner and I find it all just so charmless. Especially after GoT, which had characters that weren’t nice people so you couldn’t like them in that way and yet you still liked (even loved) watching them. HotD has no character I like, and I’m a fan of Matt Smith.

Find an article about Fred Armisen being cast in something where people are excited about it or think he’s a great fit for the role.

Before you jump in to point out that there are ways to calibrate your television to make these kinds of images more visible, we’re going to stop you right there. Yes, we know. The point is, if you can’t watch a show without having to go in and change your picture settings, that’s not a problem with your TV, it’s a

Sister Michael is one of the greatest characters in TV history and I demand Siobhan McSweeney be in everything now.

It’s only a short in a longer film, but her dual performance in Coffee and Cigarettes is one of my favourites.

Couldn’t agree more. First it was Le Chiffre’s gang, then Quantum - a secret organization ‘with people everywhere’ - pulling their strings. Then Spectre - an even secreter organization with even more people even more everywhere - pulling their strings. It’s dumb.

Yep. A lot of the newer episodes feel like they were written by a person that watched half of one episode of Archer to get a gist of the characters and then banged out a script.

True. There’s also: ‘How about *spins wheel 1* Blofeld turns out to be Bond’s... *spins wheel 2* long-lost... *spins wheel 3* adopted... *spins wheel 4* brother?’ A revelation that has absolutely no bearing on events before or after the moment it’s revealed.

What was the other one?

“Skyfall” most definitely did NOT have everything I want out of a Bond film. To the contrary, it was the film so at odds with what I want that I gave up on the franchise. (I eventually saw “Spectre” on an airplane, and haven’t bothered with “No Time to Die.”)

The Muppets Are Not What They Seem

I’d be down for that, but only if Sam the Eagle is huffing amyl nitrate.

Tell them they’ll live to regret this.
