That’s cos it’s awesome.
That’s cos it’s awesome.
They have this, it’s called the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge.
I mean they do go to the .526mi Martinsville.
SAME. Genuinely haven’t been this hyped on a Cup race in years.
You might have cars at the tail end of the field coming back onto NASCAR 1 at a much reduced speed.
Yeah, but Indy doesn’t have a section like T2 here, that super tight, narrow left with walls on either side. It’ll be like Bathurst in 2005.
Australian Supercars weigh only 140lb less than a NASCAR Cup car.
They’ll be road course compound tires. The two chicanes keep the speeds lower through the oval corners so you can run them and rain tires if needed.
It’s to avoid a dangerous crash at the end of a stage/race. The braking point for T1 is before the s/f line, at the end of the race you’ll have guys who wont lift trying to get a spot then they’ll barrel into the divider wall.
Ovals. Some tracks have claim rules, others dont. Nearly every single one has a beginner class with caged shitboxes on street tires.
God this race is gonna be amazing and awful.
I wouldn’t say THAT common. you might get something stupid once a year a most tracks. Very rare up here in the NorthEast.
What you’re describing happens on a weekly basis at your local short track in the pure stock classes.
Unfamiliar with the name, but that’s awesome knowing what’s underneath. They’re wild, gorgeous cars.
You wanna pay the licensing fee?
The midwest is weird and they have super high dollar figure 8 cars, with the intention in every race to win and not crash into anyone. It’s wild. They run 90 minute and 3 hour enduros during the year at the Indianapolis Speedrome as well.
Best part of that is that the track crew just kinda stands back as the one dude is just laying into the other.
It’s got exhaust pipes.
They show up for NASCAR and IMSA.
