When the Harry Potter movies came about, I think we were all about on book 4; having read the first ones over, and over maybe 10-15 times. When the movie came about it absolutely ruined the series for me, I couldn't get interested in the later books, they seemed much less fantastical, and the movie ruined the Hogwarts

The difference here is that its 13 billion years old, not 13 billion light years away

I'd definatley add a Pratchett book to the list. If you're looking at it with a present-day eye and want to push humour, cynicism and disparaging realism in a fantasy environment, he's your man

"Well allow me to retort...."

Keep it down, I can hear your lack of fiscal policy understanding from over here

Youre not including the effect for the cat transmission field (CTF, more commonly) which is about 4cm in all directions from the epidermis. It will penetrate toast, but not lead or plastic

Levitation versus a tuna-powered battery? Unless... taxidermy cats are also subject to this effect

Not antigravity.. infinite power!

Well, depends on when the season is as to when "now" is.. but the seasonal cycles continue. I wonder what a martian season is though

Im curious, if it has the mass of the asteroid, wouldn't there be some kind of impact shock in the atmosphere or surface? Even if it isnt 'solid' would it still impact with high energy like a railgun, or slowly burrow through just leaving a wake?

*bookmarks article in my folder "Things to do when billionaire megalomaniac" *

Geothermal energy

Methinks hes going down there for some peace to write the script. There will be the "in-dive movie" playing, Dances With Wolves. Mark my words, Avatar 2 will be watery dances with wolves....

Depending on the age of BouncedCzech that may be entirely appropriate and therefore ignorance is not his fault

Bah, not even that then. Thanks, I couldnt remember it so clearly, but the orb of energy is what stuck in my mind

In other words, identical to the other but with a helicopter o-o

Thank you -.- somebody got it

You used that picture to illustrate a great man? In an article about Neil deGrasse Tyson? A great man was in the article.

Id go very much with what Churchill said. It doesn't mean though that we there is nothing better to try in the future. Democracy tempered with technocracy would be a fine thing indeed.

When will people realise? Democracy.. doesnt.. work!
