This week I had at least two of the best books right now

As a fellow Coloradan, I felt disappointed our state was grayed out, but then remembered better to be grayed out than known for The Fray or OneRepublic. Or some country mountain band.

Didn't Snyder only turn in one issue dealing with the Damian fallout? Otherwise, he just sort of avoided all these big DC events by going to the past.

I know we've gotten into the Snyder argument before, and we're polar opposites when it comes to Snyder. (This is mostly me telling myself not to start some giant argument for no reason.)

My boyfriend did. But he picked it up around issue 6 at a back issue bin sale and thought it was really funny. I'm not sure if that was the reaction they were going for….

You know he was offered a Marvel book and a DC book concurrently, but Marvel kicked their heels and he took on Batman. And he said he was a Marvel kid growing up.

Was Katana 3rd? MY DATES ARE CONFLATED FOR THE CRUMMY TITLES.

OKAY, Bullshit may have been strong, "shenaningans" is probably a better word.

I agree with this. I don't think Marvel's writers are that great, but they're getting some damn fine artists to turn in their books, which are making them cool to look at.

YES! Allred keeps tweeting teases and it's like…just fantastic.

Bullshit.

Of mine:

I had recently recommended this to a friend of mine, because although NEW X-MEN is messy, it's high points are fantastic. (The opening arc, the Cassandra Nova attack, the riot, and the failed revolutionary stuff!) There are two different Grant Morrisons: one is cryptic, cosmic, meta, magically fueled, and bizarre —

Smaller week for me:

After. 5 volumes, the THB story recolored and finished.

Not only in print, but in print with two covers!

YES. What you said.

I'd mostly agree — except The Dungeon episode is 100%. (Though re-reading your comment, that comes in the back half of Season One, huh.)

I never bought the color editions either, because I think there is something…purer in the black and white manga side editions. But Nathan Fairbairn is a pretty fantastic colorist and he does some fine work setting up the colors.

I liked a lot of it too. Particularly Batman going all PACIFIC RIM.
