1.) I don't think Millar's scripts allow for much play with page layouts. In all the books I've read from him, he never seems interested in doing something cool or clever with the page.

EXACTLY the same reason I picked up the book. I'm a huge Quitely fan.

My boyfriend and I volunteered at our store for Free Comic Book Day, which was some of the most fun I ever had — with the people in costumes and the kids happy to be there.

I disagree. I liked it. I thought it was much more coherent and better paced than the stuff I've read from her Batgirl run, actually.

If worst comes to worst, he'll have ILM insert some flames in front of the questionable parts.

I'm a huge fan of Francavilla.

Oh my God, you should see how it goes when Celine Dion comes on the radio.

My boyfriend loves this movie for many of the same reasons stated above.

I'm with @avclub-58238e9ae2dd305d79c2ebc8c1883422:disqus @avclub-7399a8aa203c68565ff7196769deadc6:disqus and @avclub-ab5266a567015c1fa88e4cb37ae91f51:disqus in that I thought Thor was great. I didn't think I'd like it too much, but everyone was having such a fun time with it, it radiated off the screen.

I always love when the AV Club brings attention to Pogo again. And I always gotta say I love the stuff the guy produces.

I first saw Charlie Hunnam in the original, British QUEER AS FOLK. He was the twink character, and was introduced taking it from some other guy and then accidentally shooting too soon.

@avclub-97d6c074b974838257db17a02f8784c4:disqus Yes! And his way of explaining it as well. Comic shops are like the theaters. Trades like the Blu-Ray. Digital like catching it on Netflix or TV.

Birthright is the next Superman book I have lined up, so I'm a bit more excited going in. Waid's pretty good with the character — though I've only read the "Tower of Babel" arc in JLA and KINGDOM COME — so I'm optimistic.

Wait. The drug use was supposed to be shocking?

Heck yeah Batman Incorporated.

Honestly, that's the number one reason I was interested in the book as well. And the art is gorgeous.

I keep it in a little jar in my tower solarium, and when Connery finally metamorphizes into Moore, I will be trapped in this body forever.

The distributor shorted my comic shop's order on this one for me this week, so I haven't gotten to it yet, which makes this review even more enticing and teasing, and — gah! It was the comic I was most looking forward to this week, because I missed the initial print run for the first couple issues and had to wait for

I was hoping someone would mention this too.
