``The old lady helped someone meet their friend at the mall,'' for example, is wrong, but generally accepted, unfortunately for the reader. ``The old lady helped someone meet his friend at the mall, is correct,'' even if the gender of ``someone'' turns out to be female.

All mildly educated people know this, but have

retarded.

No, not even for me. I don't typically capitalize my i's.

And Jalopnik is my favorite SFW website in the world, and Damon is probably my favorite reporter there, because he rides motorcycles, and Travis is a fake-sound apologist.

But this is my crusade, it's my cross to bear.

That's also unnecessary.

I don't accept that excuse. If we want to think of a new, gender neutral pronoun, then I'd get on board for that, though we don't really have to. Using His to refer to the possessive male or female has been accepted for centuries. But if some consider this a problem, it doesn't make any sense to fix it with another

You may use His if you are unsure about gender. You needn't say His or Her, though you may if you like. Some people will throw in a random Her, on occasion. The problem of being unsure about gender isn't solved by substituting a plural for a singular, because that changes the meaning of the sentence.

Someone Hacked His BMW...

BMW owners have a long history of driving lies. How many times did someone swap out his 318 badges for M3 kit instead? No matter that the car was still a dog under the hood. That's the beauty of the fact that this company is at the forefront of faked-sound technology.

P.S. On a side note, this headline says ``SomeONE

saw a 993 turbo down at manhattan motorcars for like $250,000. and a 996 on craigslist for $16,900 or a suzuki swift trade.

it sure won't cause delays. i'm talking about on-the-fly tracking — no booths. it's just the kind of ``shovel-ready project'' we should be doing. america's infrastructure desperately needs improvement. it is embarrassingly bad, from ports to air travel to the highway system.

and hence he only pays a third the price, assuming he splits it with his passengers. or, if they're carpooling, they each only pay a third the price, since they do a third the miles.

and they would pay A LOT MORE, since they weigh more and do more miles and live on highways. obvi.

yes way, exactly. you should be charged more for that because you are putting more wear on the road. you and your two friends can split it.

i love it! has long been my number one GT pick. only i would go with the W12.

It's an unpopular position to be in support of any kind of tax increase, but with fuel efficiency increasing and driven miles decreasing, how the hell are we going to pay for our highways if we don't find some other source of revenue?

this is the problem. people who care about cars and want to consume that content need to be willing to pay for it. and i'm betting easy micro payments will make that possible. you would easily pay a quarter or 50 cents to watch a drive video, no? i would pay monthly.

unbefuckinglievable. on the one hand, what kind of loser thinks to sell this stuff? on the other hand, who in the hell wants it? i mean, i'm obsessive about cars, but what in the hell do you want with a thumb drive that's going to be laughably obsolete in 6 months?

the paperweight is pretty cool, i still have mine from

if you have an autobox in this car you don't deserve to have this car anyway.

the target brand looks awful, the martini livery is way more hotter.

p.s. they probably used ganassi's tunnel too, right?

my truck gets bogged down with a half a cord. i think i need to put some HD springs on it.
