And I'm incredibly impressed, and sad, and saddened that it was cancelled. Probably my favorite interpretation of the DC universe, plus a very well-done long-form cartoon at that.

Marvel Studios has now put out 9 feature films, with one more due out this year and two next year. They are a juggernaut and their success has partly been due to fantastic casting.

In case you missed it, the new Star Wars cast was announced today. While there were some surprises, most of the cast had previously been rumored, giving us all lots of time to speculate on who will be playing who. We live in a blessed age.... we have not one, but two hilarious, bizarre, thought provoking animated shows full of heart and fantastic writing... but....

This post is collating some thoughts I had over on Rob's article earlier today, but also things I have discussed many times here on other forums. I am writing them here partly to start some discussion and partly so I have a clear, concise statement of these things to give me something to reference in future.

Physics Help Desk time again. It should at least be busy today as midterms start tomorrow.

Today I have to sit in a small room and wait for people to come and ask me questions about physics. It is called Physics Help Desk and it's pretty dull. So I do things like this:

I don't know if y'all have seen this, but it's great. I really love Matt Smith's Doctor.. but what I didn't realize (I don't tend to watch cast interviews etc.) is that I also really love Matt Smith.
