I'm Alan Partridge definitely mines a very specific vein of British comedy. Same with Gavin & Stacey. Every attempt I've made to show either of those to non-Brits has met with blank stares.
With Look Around You I think of it as niche because its spoofing something very specific, and largely unknown outside of Britain.

Actually, I am Very Good, but I know its difficult for you to tell the difference. Hence your love of Lost.

Color me extremely surprised that The Knick isn't on here.

I still haven't watched that. Maybe when I'm done this Star Trek run through.

Honorable mentions: Spaced, The Simpsons, Garth Merenghi's Darkplace.

Fuck! I forgot Spaced!

Nah, skip it. Its bad.

What is the most British show that you'd consider including on your list? By which I mean, the most incomprehensible for non-Brits. Mine would either be Look Around You or Mighty Boosh.

Everyone on twitter is doing #Fav7TVShows so here are mine! What are yours?

We actually did skip "Move Along Home" accidentally. I remember it pretty well, and like you said it's pretty bland, so I don't mind missing it. I might skip Wishes too, depending on how we're feeling. My wife is still complaining about the boring-ness of the show/characters, but she's becoming a little more invested

I've never read a LeGuin novel before, but I've read a bunch of her short stories. She's really rather remarkable for her ability to combine social and philosophical critique with honest, human characters. She builds a world, then populates it with real people, and the way those characters interact with the constructs

I like New History Vol 2. That was my first exposure to him, but it is dense in a way that this isn't, which means that I find myself listening to it in short bursts, appreciating it, but not needing to go back for more.
This, OTOH, feels much more accessible and easier to appreciate.

Pretty good! Listened to Chelsea Wolfe, read a bunch of The Dispossesed by LeGuin, watched some Star Trek (TNG: Ship In A Bottle, Aquiel. DS9: Q-Less, Dax) (Wife still not on board with the DS9 crew).

I like Stetson, but find his projects often a hard to get into or appreciate as a whole. But this… this is perfect.

Ege…this is so good.

Several people have also suggested Michael B Jordan, which would be dope as well.

It works best if you use Ride's dick, I think.

I think you have to say it three times in front of a blurry picture of a dick.

the clipping. record is amazing. Like if the dude from Death Grips was a much MUCH better rapper.

Now that Lando Calrissian is confirmed for Lord & Miller's Han Solo movie, some parties are rumoring that a certain rapper is the number one choice for the part: http://birthmoviesdeath.com…
