Why is half the cast missing from that header image?

It really is incredible how effectively it builds real, living characters out of just a couple of subtle brush strokes. I watched it again recently and I still can't quite put my finger on how they do it so well.

Yeah, its like they're doing two separate series simultaneously. Brannagh's Cinderella vs Lowery's Pete's Dragon. Ron Howard's Sleeping Beauty vs Joe Swanberg's Fox & The Hound.

I tried to write something about how quietly and believably it builds relationships and history after I saw it, but there's something just ineffable about it that I couldn't ever get down on paper.

I saw it in a nearly empty theater on my own and cried from about minute 2 till the end.

It was p much perfect. I made it out to the theater only a handful of times last year, but two movies I did see were Pete's Dragon and Nice Guys. I feel extremely good about my choices.

Prediction: In 10 years the only one of these "live action" Disney remakes anyone is going to remember is Pete's Dragon.

Speed Racer, and for some reason High Fidelity, are my go-to comfort movies.

We live in a universe where The Tree Of Live and White House Down both exist.

I would like to echo this sentiment wholeheartedly.
