Yeah, I got the feeling from everyone's reactions that there was more to it than I was seeing, it's just a bit tough going until we hit whatever the twist is.

I feel like we haven't had a major rug-pull moment yet so I think that tension will come to the fore in the next few episodes, but right now it feels tense with no real stakes, yknow? Which makes the unsubtle bits a lot harder to stomach, as they're the only thing that's really going on.

Wicked! I don't find it on-the-nose or unsubtle in terms of foreshadowing or plot, just the writing is very simplistic, especially when it comes to Elliot and the more "political" aspects of the show. I'm gonna stick with it though.

I started watching Mr. Robot, and I'm 2.5 episodes in and it's a bit… unsubtle? By which I mean very unsubtle and on the nose. Does it get better, or is that just the thing that it does?
