I can see Michael being right for Jane. They work together well, they clearly care for each other, and Michael's brand of sturdiness is a good fit for Jane's romanticism. I can totally see the appeal for her.
In defense of Baby CZ, she is more on the fence about Michael than me. She's very forgiving of mistakes provided you wear bright colors or have a face.
They paint her so sympathetically that even when she's defensive and mean, or does something terrible you completely understand her and what brought her to that place. She's also very aware of her flaws and her mistakes, unlike a certain police officer, who is so self-righteous and sure of himself. Also his hair is…
As the series goes on the whimsy is mainly either toned down or folded into larger worldbuilding, which makes it more palatable. Each book is kind of written for children Harry's age, so as Harry grows up the more childish elements of the series fall away.
Steak & Guinness. You can keep your New World bullshit fruit pies.
Baby CZ, my wife and I are now all caught up with Jane The Virgin and are all in agreement about one thing: Michael is the worst. I hope he dies.
A real step down for the series. Fewer cars to choose from than Colin McRae Rally 2005, the courses are all too short and suffer from too much repetition of ideas. In addition, the racism always inherent in the series is getting out of hand. The graphics, however, continue to improve in leaps and bounds.
There's SO MUCH going on in this trailer. So many characters, so much emotion, it's incredible that they're managing to sell it so well.
For me it was the time change in She Said, She Said.
For movies my go tos are: RogerEbert.com, Drew McWeeney's blog at Hitfix, BirthMoviesDeath (fight me!).
For music I just kind of jump around. A random sampling of where I've found new music recnetly: youtube, Said The Gramophone, NPR's First Listen feature, PopMatters, Stereogum, HotNewHipHop, Pitchfork's BNM lists.
Kendrick just dropped an album that's pretty much Amnesiac to TPAB's Kid A. The new Massive Attack record is pretty good. I listened to both Rihanna's Anti and Sia's This Is Acting and I'm not sure how I feel about either of them. Anti is particularly odd in that it starts off as a typical dancehall-influenced Rihanna…
I loved White House Down so much. It's totally a pitch-perfect Die Hard sequel.
Boo! Although it may end up being an XXL situation where he jumps on to cinematograph and edit.

Lin Manuel, The Grinder and Buster Keaton, a tweet designed for the CZ: https://twitter.com/Lin_Man…
Yeah, totally true. But that's kinda the point. You can't control your eventual success or failure, who lives, who dies (who tells your story), but accepting and taking responsibility for what you can control is the first step towards happiness and overcoming grief. It's not an entirely positive message, but it's one…
It's less that he has things under his control and more that he accepts that certain things he has the power to change and others he doesn't. To me, a big part of his story is that he either blames himself for everything (including Mike's death), or has no control over anything. The final scenes are about him learning…
Mine is either A Serious Man or Inside Llewyn Davis.
