Hey Narwhal, as our resident animation expert, I was wondering what current shows are your faves, and what you think is good/bad about each one?

Yeah. At face value its totally just an expression of surprise. But there seems to be something more significant going on in that exchange than just the callback stuff that i can't put my finger on. Its very possible I'm just reading too much into it though.

Amazing. I got some glitches there too but assumed they were intentional, for verisimilitude and also to unsettle me.

Yeah, there's definitely a promise here, but it also contains the seeds of the season's failure, I think. The hopelessness, the inability to really connect with the characters' headspaces. I'd have loved to see them deal with some of the stuff they started here.

The scene where they all sign the paper ("We're putting Greendale in your hands.") is also very well written…

Jessie James is obviously beautiful, but I wanna put a word in for Jarhead, where the visuals go a long way to elevating the movie above the ordinary. Also No Country For Old Men's cinematography fits the themes and tone of the movie just incredibly perfectly.
