Is Andre gonna be a proper cast member this year, or just a series regular?

I'm gonna miss Captain Holt, but I suppose this guy is an OK substitute.

Hey! Work got crazy busy and it doesn't look like I'll have the review ready for tomorrow. It'll be done for Saturday morning though, so I'll post it then.

I absolutely loved Hugo, it was a lovely little film. But The Tree Of Life is one of the best looking movies ever made. I absolutely cannot understand how it didn't win.

The Assassination of Jesse James… is so beautiful. Just incredible.

Me too. It's kind of amazing looking back at how dark and complex that show for kids was.

Yeah me too. So does The Guardian's 2 star review: "A dawdling indie drama, gussied up in superhero garb."

I did that with both Avengers movies, and they were actually really great showings. Enthusiastic, but not obnoxious crowds, great atmosphere.

Man, that's never happened to me. Maybe I never get round to seeing these things until the last weekend they're being shown, or maybe because we're just less enthusiastic about things here in Canada.

"The good news is, Fantastic Four is a really good film, shorn of glib know-all theatrics, faux profundity and the spangly CG that’s usually ushered in as dramatic short hand for, “we got nuthin’.” It is, as the old saying goes, a proper movie." - David Jenkins, writing for Little White Lies: http://www.littlewhitelies

This is a filthy lie.

Ok sounds good! I will get to work on it tomorrow and poat as soon as its done!

Sorry about the delay in replying. Went away for the long weekend. I should be able to get it done this week for submission Friday. Do you have an approx. wordcount? Do you need editing time?

If you can't find anyone else for Repilot, I'll do it and glaz can do Basic Sandwich.

The pilot left a really bad taste in my mouth and nothing I've seen since (a few episodes, a bunch of clips) ever really washed it away. Having said that, I've seen some clips with some great jokes in there.

Right after I typed that out I realized that most analysis tends to take on very well-known, well-worn forms, so the argument about these things being rote doesn't really hold much water.
I think there's definitely a lot of analysis involved in, for example, recreating a scene in Lego. However, that does not make the

God I love that show.

He's not really saying that they're in "bad taste" though, or that they're unsophisticated, and, if anything, he seems to think it's pretty cool that so many people have the ability to do this. He's really more concerned that the approaches, rather than being diversified and experimental, are falling very often into

Oh yeah for sure. And most of the time there's genuine craft and attention there and it's impressive and really cool. And like I said, there's definitely a place for it, and I enjoy it. But it isn't insight, and can't (and shouldn't) take the place of it.
