Sure thing!

I agree in that sense: While Troy's departure was a loss for the show in many ways, it did open up some fresh, interesting avenues for character development that were unlikely to occur with him still present.

Oh yeah, I agree with that 100%.

You see, I don't think she fulfills a similar role at all, story-wise. Shirley's story is the story of someone who, after years of sublimating her own needs to the needs of others (her kids, andre, etc.), she is trying to do something for herself. But she has to do this while still remaining true to her own ideals,

This is an interesting post that I really don't agree with. Even if Donglover's ability to sell a joke was all Troy had going for him, that's a hell of a lot. In a cast full of great comedy actors, Don's timing and delivery stood out every single time. And Troy, as a character, actually has a LOT more going for him

I wouldn't mind taking any of those. No preference really, though I don't think I'd have much to say about the "A" plot of B&BMS.

It took me some time to understand the precise nature of its fraudulence. But now that I have, all is forgiven.

Which episodes are still unassigned?

*leaves the boards and never returns*

No, I haven't. I will add them both to my To Watch list, forthwith.

I think I just love films with that crazy tense, paranoid vibe.

Oh shit, I there was no Wes Anderson on my list. I might have to amend.

Ima try this just off the dome (trying not to copy too much from other lists):

Man, for a Birdman apologist, your top 10 list is really fucking great.

This year I'm averaging about 8 a month. Last year I managed about one every two days.

Y'see, I'm not so sure about the others, but Louis I can see him finding something that stupid really funny in its own right. Regardless of whether you think there's something funny in the joke, Ricky's insistence that Louis was laughing at it ironically seemed really insecure and childish to me. A kind of

Also, i'm not entirely sure that singing "Sitting on a cock coz I'm gay" to the tune of "Sittin On The Dock Of The Bay" isn't funny.

I think you're right, it's not a great joke. But on the other hand, I don't think Louis was trolling Ricky at all. I think Louis genuinely found something in that joke that he enjoyed. The simple, obvious nature of it, it's brevity. I can see the appeal. But because Ricky couldn't imagine finding something so childish

Yeah, Rock & CK have been at this a long time, with varying degrees of success. And I think they understand how much of what they do is just putting the time in. There's a bit where Louis talks about bits he knows aren't great, but work because he knows his craft.

Yeah! I like that idea even more! Maybe not ALL the comedies. We could limit it to like, 5 or 6.
