The script for a TV show I was working on (BBC’s Bergerac). We were on location and I went to pick up an actor at Jersey Airport (Channel Islands off the coast of France, not NJ) I got a call on my immense 90's carphone and pulled over to consult the script and had set it on the roof then was distracted by the actor

The dumbest idea, save for the idea of paving roads with solar panels. The efficiency loss from having inductive coils 4-10"away from the receivers will be huge, try it with your phone. Also an hour of ultra low wattage charging would need 40-70 miles of coils.... I am flabbergasted by the stupidity and waste of money.

The Oxy(gen) part of the mixture will assist even the slightest spark, whether from static or a door switch, into becoming a flame, then the Acetylene part takes over and provides the fuel... either on their own is not too dangerous, but oxygen mixed with any flammable gas is a BOOM waiting to happen.

Owned an AMI 8 and a Super while living in the UK. While excellent and simple cars (I replaced an engine by myself in an afternoon without the use of a winch/stand) they are cheap French cars and not much can change that. CP at this price, 50% would still be a reach.

Nice, take a star.

Citroen Ami 6. 602 cc, two cylinders, 32Hp. It was a four door sedan. Mind you the ride was great, economy was good and I swapped an engine by myself in an afternoon with no sling, hoist or lift. I remember not lifting off for gear changes, the flywheel was huge and it took a while to spool up.

Not true that all modern cars have enough power. I rented a new Daihatsu Terios in Costa Rica in 2015, it had the right number of pedals and 4x4 (no transfer case or low range). On the Pan-American Highway we had to make a detour and came across a hill that the bugger would not go up, not even with a run-up, not even

Concur. Size has little todo with visibility in the new LED marker world.

When I met my wife she was driving a 1st Gen MR2, Manual, no PS, AC kaput, She admitted later it was a bait and switch, she could care less about cars and had been driving a panel van up until someone at work offered her the MR2 for cheap as they moved out of state. So it works both ways...

Nailed the question. Thank you, I had forgotten this car, none of the others though... Cord? Really...I would forget that fabulous car?

No, I’m pretty sure that was a joke.

How much better this car would look going backwards... less violence, more balance and poise.

I’ll get your coat for you...

I spent some time in the late 8o’s working for the BBC in France on a cop show. I got an Espace to shuttle actors around in and it was shocking how modern it was to me, especially coming from Britain (My personal car then was a well beaten Saab 99 and before that a Citroen Ami 8, an Ami 6 and a Triumph Herald 13/60

Detail is crucial to what I do, happy to have been there to be able to report back. I’ll make some duplicates of those keys...

Correct. Actors are notoriously bad at doing normal, regular things while speaking lines, searching for motivation, wearing makeup and starched collars. They call making coffee, washing up while speaking etcbusiness’. Driving a car, often at speed, is the ultimate ‘business’ and something is going to suffer. As an

This is one of the two rams that flip the pickup, I’m guessing 10" diameter piston with o rings inside, giving theoretical max thrust (at 2000 psi max tank pressure) of 158,000 lbs per cylinder (79 sq in piston area) Of course that is overkill so everything would be de-rated for safety.

I do have some shitty cellphone video of the truck flip...how do I post that?

Probably unwise of me to comment..haha

Remote controlled as well. Everything on these cars was replaced with new so they were safe and drove (and stopped) The remote (stunt) driver controlled everything with hydraulics from his perch.
