Maybe-unpopular opinion: The film of AMERICAN PSYCHO does not work at all as a film. It has a few scenes that are absolutely wonderful - and those scenes pretty much say everything PSYCHO has to say, by themselves. The movie is one joke ("THE EIGHTIES WERE EVIL"), stretched out beyond the point of thinness.

I have to return some videotapes.
