Goddammit, J.J., was Jar Jar shouting "WEESA FREE!!" REALLY necessary??

Ohmigod, THE Christopher Marlowe?? I LOVE Machiavel's monologue in "The Jew of Malta"!!!

Yeah, that was interesting - and God knows neither bothered me! :)

It wouldn't be an issue to bring down shields on your entire apparatus? Even if you're confident, that seems impressively stupid.

Oh, okay. My impression of that line was that Han meant, "You think it's an accident we found you? If WE could find you, the First Order will have a real easy time doing it."

Han and Chewie find the Falcon OUT OF NOWHERE! They just *find* their old Millennium Falcon RIGHT THE FUCK OUT OF NOWHERE!

In a different way, that's what frustrates me about the Marvel series: if I go to see the next AVENGERS movie, why should I have to worry about random plot points that don't make sense unless I've seen another movie? That's exactly what happened with "Age of Ultron": I hadn't seen "Guardians of the Galaxy," so I paid

That's an idea I just cannot get behind, that you can leave things completely unexplained, can make wildly bullshit decisions with your plot just because, "Well, we'll explain it in a later movie." Just in terms of basic drama, it needs to work NOW.

I guess that's why they're called the "Resistance" rather than "The Rebel Alliance."

Why in the world would Phasma have gone down that easily?? Don't you think she would have done whatever she could to protect the Order? Does she have no honor? Wouldn't she have rather DIED than betray her kind?

I thought some of the creature designs were really interesting - ESPECIALLY the ones on Jakku.

See, I can justify that at least a little - because Rey only saw the stories of Luke Skywalker and his trials as "myths," so she might only think of the Millennium Falcon as "the ship that ran the Kessell Run in 14 parsecs." You know, something it *really* did.

I enjoyed the fact that Rey, while living in a galaxy far, far away, still speaks in a working-class British accent :)

One of my big problems: HOW IN THE HELL did Finn BULLSHIT his way into getting the Starkiller's shields down??? I mean, I UNDERSTAND it, but… like I said in my review, it's FUCKING ABSURD.

My impression was that the Resistance was an autonomous group (or, if you will, a "rebel band") that was being supported by the Republic - in the way that today's Syrian rebels might be supported by a United States government.

Are you sure you're not talking about the Beat Alls?

A good deal of it was bad - in a way I didn't expect.

Well, it did inspire Randy Newman to sing about how he wants a white President, so…

Finn: "UH-OH!"

Don't call him Larry.
