I’ll admit it’s been years since I read the series but the two things I distinctly remember about the books was that Artemis started out as a villain protagonist for the first book and than became more heroic later on, Holly was the first woman to join LEP and this was a big deal in-story. For some reason it seems…
Honestly, very respectfully, Mr. President, suck my dick.
This is what people don’t understand when we say billionaires are immoral. In the year they cut 800 jobs his payout alone could have secured all most of those jobs for a year, in a year “of record profits”. Him choosing to add millions more to his pile instead of keeping employees, is him choosing to work against the…
So his leadership has hypothetically turned one of the major developers of the 90s and 00s into an assembly line clearly dictacted by a spreadsheet on autopilot.
This man has an extremely punchable face.
The average american voter’s reaction to reason:
I can’t play Destiny 2 anymore. Haven’t been able to for over a year now. The ludonarrative dissonance combined with “season fatigue” just completely did me in. It sucks because I love the setting, I love the lore, but Traveler bless me, I just cannot deal with the crap Bungie keeps coming up with. It’s like they’re…
As a 5 year Destiny veteran, reading about Destiny (whether via the grimoire in D1, text/audio logs in D2, or lore recap vids on youtube) has nearly always been more interesting than actually playing Destiny.
Bungie has built (or, rather, fallen backwards into) an incredibly dense, super rich, genuinely interesting…
“What happened to that ship that was hurtling towards Earth?”
My company manages several office warehouse parks. A tenant who has a security company and provides sirens for police departments, had his office vandalized, windows broken, and he was burglarized.
Oh God.
He probably wouldn’t have been chosen in the first place if he were black. Plus, what Gunn said was way more hardcore; he was lucky to be rehired, but he also deserves it because he’s actually shown growth and depth as a human being since he made those tweets. Everyone who knows him thinks he’s good guy.
I long for a female Adam Corolla to write some “think”piece about how maybe American men are just bad at soccer and that’s nature so don't get mad!
Sometimes, even when you reproduce bugs, it can take a long time figuring out what part of the game is causing it. And often times it isn’t simple to just throw in break points or even print logs. They have an almost quantum aspect to them where they disappear when you try and observe them from a debug perspective.
Even though I haven’t been involved with game dev bugs, I have in software. What a lot of people don’t realize is reproducing the bug is the first (and sometimes hardest) step. There are so many factors involved. The most frustrating is when you reproduce it, then you follow (what you thought were) the same steps…
I think we’re giving Ubisoft too much credit here with laying the blame on the console. Isn’t it possible that Ubi’s engine for Assassin’s Creed is just terrible at optimization?
The new “Standard” should be options. At the very least native 1080p x 60 fps for a “performance mode” or a “Graphics mode” at 4k x 30 fps minimum. Basically exactly what Monster Hunter World does. Give people choice in how they want to play their games.
Imo, the trick is to find the balance to where hidden blade still insta-kills, but the emphasis is really on setup.
“In today’s Destiny 2, the balance of the game’s rewards is not where we want it to be,” Destiny 2 director Luke Smith wrote over on the game’s blog.
