I don't know if it's an annual thing or not, but last year the Cinerama had a brief festival of proper Cinerama and 70mm movies. Got to see How The West Was Won in legit three-strip projection, and it was really cool. I also got to see The Master there in 70mm—that doesn't have anything to do with Cinerama-as-format,

I definitely agree—I'm already loving this show, but a scene like the one you describe gave me so much more faith in it. They didn't need to write anything for that, since the point was obviously just to establish them sitting there before chaos bursts in, so the fact that it was such a weird and hilarious

I agree completely, that was the most devastating part to me. I'm amazed by the beats they've found this season to drive home emotional moments like that. Rosen taking off Nina's blindfold, his scene with Dani wanting to get chipped, and now Nina trying to push her not to die are all things that completely crushed me,

The use of the Band of Horses song in that episode is so choice. It's beautiful in-story, as a song on the mix CD that woman made for 'Peter from Boston'*, it's a great song and poignant in the moment, plus it's a total fake-out that you think it'll wrap up the episode and then Newton pops up. Might as well have put

White Tulip is not only my favorite Fringe episode, but possibly my favorite episode of any show I've seen.

I saw the trailer for this before something else (Brave, maybe?) and honestly could not tell if it was real the entire time. It starts with that line, which as you point out sounds like a joke, and then excitedly lists the incredibly obscure actors as though each one is a bigger star than the next. Combined with the

That's actually a good point. Myself, I'm a Final Destination partisan.

I caught up on Parenthood and The Good Wife simultaneously last season, and I'm really glad having both of them as something to watch every week—Parenthood especially. The Good Wife is a little easier to lose in the shuffle week-to-week.

I was expecting to cry a lot more. Haddie at the airport got me, but the heartbreaking scene with her and Max was funcrusher++
