I really enjoy pocketcast. It’s paid but I think it’s well worth it. It syncs across all my devices.

I have to say I have the Blue Cash Preferred by AMEX. It pays 6% on Groceries up to $6K. 3% on Gas. 1% on everything else. This card has changed my habits. I eat at home more because I feel the urge to buy groceries more. It’s been great on my budget and my waistline.
I’ve always just paid for decent transportation in cash. I usually drive it until the wheels fall off. Can you tell me the benefit in leasing over what I’m currently doing? Also seems like my insurance would be more on newer vehicles.
I’ve saving 15% of my pretax income since I was 23. I’m 35 now. I do 6% in a company match 401K and 9 % in a Roth. Is this too much? Sometimes I feel like I have no life after saving. I also put $200.00 a month aside in a car replacement fund $15K now and I have $17K in a Emergency Fund. Only a mortgage payment for…
I always have and never thought it strange until I vacationed with friends who lost their shit when I took off my clothes to get in bed.
As a lender we actually partner with Enterprise Car Sales. They do a great job and just to help people get over the fear of buying a rental they give you a 12 month 12K mile warranty. A lot of their ragged out rentals go to auction anyway and they take trades.
No life insurance. I’m going to die alone so I don’t need any to take care of dependents.
For 08 Civic, 100/300/100 and 1K deductible $712/year. Condo policy is $300/year. GA Farm Bureau.
For me at least, I definitely have issues being intimate with others. As a gay man, I’ve been taught that it’s bad and that HIV is a punishment. I know it’s not but there is this “other me” that pops up in my brain when I get intimate so now I just avoid sex altogether. My left hand is my life partner.
Sometimes, even if you try to ignore a nut they still act crazy.
Some people opt to not have a renter’s policy (which I disagree with). I would partially disagree with you. The buildings insurance and property taxes are factored in with your insurance but I bet if those cost go down for the apartment, I highly doubt you will see a drop in rent.
I’m in lending and I still made mistakes. I didn’t do enough down. I ended up getting 6.75% for 30 years fixed. Thank God I refinanced to 3.5% fixed with my own institution even though I was underwater.
I journal from time to time. I find it beneficial. I would like to suggest to not journal in the time leading up to bed. Sometimes, at least for me, it queues up my anxiety.
As a lender, I’d like to say that we treat co-applicant’s like this. If you are married and the co-app has awesome credit, we give you the better rate. If you receive no benefit from the loan (aka if the primary defaults, you aren’t going to get a penny from me) you get the default rate of 18%.
I’d like to chime in here from the perspective of an AVP at a credit union. We used to make our money on lending but times have changed. Rates are so low that sometimes we are better off getting a CD (yes, banks/credit unions buy CDs) than lending it out. So since we aren’t making money off of rates, we’ve turned to…
How long should I finance a car for or just take what the dealership gives me?
Where did Malaysia Airlines fall? You know just I want a free crash into the Pacific.
As a lender, I dread seeing self employed people. They all show a loss for business every year and then state and federal examiners grill us about why we gave someone showing a loss a loan. Sometimes even if we know the person has a great business we will turn them away just so we don’t have to deal with the…
Capital One 360 formerly ING. 3 savings, 1 checking. 1 Vacation, 1 car replacement, 1 emergency fund. I no longer contribute to the emergency fund. I figure 17K is enough with my mortgage payment is only $600/m and I’m debt free. I do put $200/m to the car replacement fund that I can access if need be.
Yes! I’m still using Microsoft Money 2006 (I think) to track mine.
