A good server should be aware of TMI in pretty much all situations. A server telling me they were sick would undoubtedly ruin my meal, and it certainly wouldn’t increase my tip. A server also shouldn’t tell me they are sad because their dog was put down that morning, they had a big fight with their spouse, etc, etc.…
