I’m just of the opinion that it’s bad entertainment if you can’t telegraph that it’s a joke in a clear and clever way. I mean I get that he was going for a Andy Kaufman sort of thing but you kind of need to build a better rep for that thing. It’s like the comedy equivalent of a boy crying wolf.
