He WAS the night.
He WAS the night.
I watched it weekly. The visual spectacle is what maintained my interest overall initially, until narrative momentum kicked in (at about the first big battle in the south lands), and the Galadriel and Elrond/Durin stories were the strongest both in acting and in story construction. I found the human and Harfoot…
This was so unnecessary. Asimov literally provided a filmable screenplay focused on Hari Sheldon in the prequel novels.
I just want it to not be dumb. So much of what I used to love in Sci fi (especially Star Trek) has been turned into dumb, hyperviolent schlock. The beauty of Foundation never being adapted is that it was always pure and unviolated.
Turns out we’ve since gotten the first on Steam. Now we need I Heart Katamari!
I enjoy both albums, but I can’t shake the feeling that both of them are sophomoric streams of pseudo-profundity.
“Semen stains the mountaintops” is very “early college poetry.”
I endorse every single word of this.
My hot take resides here:
This show is stupid and violent and badly written. At least when they’re in the Mirror Universe, this tone actually fits and doesn’t do any damage to the Star Trek people know and love.
I hate this show, and this was my favorite episode of the season. It ditched the stupid Burn plot. Characters actually had scenes with…
The entire premise of this episode relies on the people of Vulcan knowing who the hell Michael Burnham is.
To be fair, Discovery has violated canon so often in was great and small that it totally feels like part of the Kelvin-verse.
“This was frustratingly lazy and lacks faith in the audience. B!”
PS2 brought me back to console gaming. I had been a PC gamer since the late 80 (NES was my last console). But the temptation of the DVD player and playing on my big TV was too much. My launch games were SSX and DOA3 Hardcore. I did not regret my purchase in the slightest and was treated to some of the greatest games…

Yep. Broadcasting this on television makes me sick.
Oh, I’m well aware of the garbage shitbrains like Scott Walker in Wisconsin have pioneered. What baffles me is how working people fall for it.
“Right To Work.”
Fucking Orwellian Newspeak Bullshit.
So, I like the Hildebrandts and everything, and their poster is fine - but the original is significantly better in my view. I like the more muted color palette, I like the way Vader’s cape morphs into the Tattooine landscape - it just all evokes Star Wars to me more. The Hildebrandt poster reminds me of a Marvel comic…
Thahht’s daaa Joke....
It’s really nice to see the competitors rooting for each other to succeed. Heartwarming, even.
Yeah, really it’s not that bad. I would suggest disconnection controllers and wrapping their cords around the bodies with the ends tucked in. That would eliminate like 75% of the “disheveled” look. Then maybe one big box at the bottom for disconnected power supplies and other odds and ends.
