The solar sunroof in the RS6 powered the car’s ventilation, which is not the same as powering the AC system. The AC system includes the compressor, which requires significantly more power than a fan.
200W isn’t going to run your air conditioning system. Not even close. It might power the fan, but the compressor will require at least 750W, and if you’re using an electric motor, figure on double that for startup wattage.
We’ll see where it goes, but if GM is truly serious about the EV revolution, it may eventually have to put its own money where its mouth is.
Completely speculating here, but I think even in a world where the next gen Mustang didn’t have a Convertible, the Coupe would still have frameless doors.
I guess I’ll be alone over here in the “I like it” corner.
Mini’s not a British brand? I know they are owned by BMW, but the heritage is in England, and they are still built there.
These cars do pretty much last forever, if you take care of them. I’ve got my mother’s old 1995 E300 diesel with 201k miles, and it drives and rides far better than the ‘08 E350 and ‘15 E350 my parents currently drive. It also drives just as nicely as it did with 80k on it. The ‘95 model had a different engine, 6 cyl…
there’s a way to get aux into the stock head unit. I don’t really want to mess up the dash with an aftermarket stereo.
I do. I pointed it out on the F-150 diesel (a 5 MPG delta!), but this one’s nearly as big of gap (Even though 29 ain’t bad).
Does anyone else get suspicious when one of these trucks has a huge gap between its 2 and 4WD configurations? I get that there’s extra parasitic losses and weight, but 4 MPG is over 10%, and that’s on the highway where the weight should matter less.
Awesome. Now put that 3 liter Dmax in the next Tahoe/Suburban/Escalade where it’s really needed.
With direct injection diesels and gas cars sound pretty similar today.
This full sized truck literally is rated at higher fuel economy than my 2009 Malibu. Consequently, after all these years, I can’t even get what it was rated for anymore! Partly due to its ancient 4 speed automatic. Partly due to age. Still, that’s really impressive for a full sized truck.
Serious reply regarding the Kona inquiry:
Should I Feel Guilty for Test Driving a Car That I Have No Intention of Buying?
WRONG, the Bustleback Seville is beautiful and is loved by all.
I’m of the opinion that Cadillac should have made an A5 and A7 competitor, and called it a day on non-CUV vehicles. Instead, we get these worry positioned sedans that no one is going to be terribly interested in
