Wait, what the hell are you swapping an UZ into?!?!?!
Counterpoint - You can also blame Paul Walker and the F&F crowd for the GT-R wing offered in the US in the first place. Sure, like the Supra, the car had a little bit of popularity before the movies, but things exploded after they came out. Same for the Mazda RX-8. Honestly, I’m shocked Toyota never came out with a…
I fully support this decision. Great color btw!
Yep, it’s crazy how people will complain about the high prices of a 911 in an article about 911s, and then turn around and go somewhere else and act like you can get a well equipped one for $80k.
Hey, and is not even that expensive on the 718s either! Sarcasm, but not really, considering a slightly different shade of silver (I can’t remember, but I think it was Carrera Silver?) Was over $5k just a year or two ago. Which brings up the point that, while basic vehicle prices are (understandably) up across the…
False. I’ve seen plenty of Laguna Seca blue, and of course the ubiquitous Yas Marina blue, which are both good colors, but neither are as good as Miami blue. My dealers demo is that color, and even though I know it’s been ridden hard, put up wet, and has lots of useless options on it I wouldn’t want to pay for, I…
Thanks for sharing and breaking it down! How do you feel about the overall power and drivetrain refinement? I love everything about these, but I’ve met very, very few gas I4s I could actually get along with. Thinking the T8 would be a lot more my speed, but you’re right, it’s a huge upcharge. Currently have an LR4 for…
That ‘Save’ mode is what you were looking for, to charge the battery so you could use it. And, honestly, if it doesn’t save enough juice in the battery for you to have necessary electric motor assistance when called upon, that’s a little sub-par, especially since most of these will be at about $80k as-sold.
You do realize $10k won’t even take you from a standard coupe into an S, right? Or did you forget a Zero?
I don’t know about the mid-engine cars, but I’m pretty sure manual 911 sales have mostly died up since PDK came out. Luckily, Porsche is committed to offering one, at least until everyone else has quit. Which means we’ll at least be left worth Porsche and Aston Martin!
They could hold onto their TJs/JKs instead of upgrading, which is what most would do. A Tacoma makes a good substitute, for those that need the off-road capability, or a Mustang/Camaro, for those just looking for the style/open air/Americana. Also, in Jeep’s own showroom they have the Renegade, which would satisfy…
Isn’t the Wrangler one of the only volume vehicles that offers an automatic, yet still moves manuals in any notable number (say more than 20%)? Seems weird that they would all of a sudden can it all together and risk alienating so many customers. Seems they’d at least move to making it a limited option that most…
Yeah, we have to send and receive packages from Japan at work. Getting those addresses condensed down to fit in the FedEx system can be tricky, to say the least.
Their controls (combo turn signal/windsheild wiper stalk) have been like that for decades, possibly even going back to actual mechanical column shifters. It’s actually less confusing than GMs combo stalk was, in my opinion. The only demerit to MB’s systemis that it can be a little too easy to mistake the cruise…
I am fully aware that most of this is because I’m a severe luddite, but the fact that a company who’s app I have on my phone has the ability, both from technological and privacy povs, is just mind blowing.
Wait, does it also have a place to put gas in is?!? Oh gosh, what was I thinking.
They’re both electric. It isn’t a hybrid if it only has one method of propulsion. Even with the backup generator, you can use it 100% of the time on electricity, which most people do. I don’t consider my home natural gas powered because I have a whole-house generator sitting outside. Is grid powered (which, in my…
Hybrid-Electric? Really? Only the electric motor ever provides power to the wheels, so it only meets the most liberal definition of ‘hybrid’. Also, most ROW i3s seem to be electric-only, so it probably is just an electric car.
