Heads up - They ALL ‘Want to Trade’.

These are a great idea, but it drives me absolutely crazy when people can’t be bothered to throw it in the trunk before the drive off. It looks absolutely terrible, and it’s just lazy. Especially when I see cars with NE plates on them here in NC, still with the stupid bumper guard on...

Yep, they just replaced the battery on my M6, and I can’t say for certain, but I’m pretty sure it was for the second time. At 16k miles. How that atrocious plan ever got green-lit for production is beyond me.

BMWs 4.4L V8 was the last engine they developed before their ‘500cc/cylinder’ mandate, and it’s already ~7 years old, I believe. It’s replacement will almost certainly be a 4.0L tt V8, and it’ll probably be out sooner rather than later, as that engine gets rather terrible fuel economy.

Depends: How much Torque are we talking?

Yes, that’s the one! Something about the front end just looks better to me, I think because it’s less boring than the Ferrari’s.

Not gonna lie, I thought the Ferrari looked really good, but had trouble taking my eyes off of that Maserati.

My 22kWh i3 took 18 hours from dead, so I’d assume 27 hours for this one. Still a long-ass time, but usefully less than a day and a half.

Head over to AutoTrader and see how much you can pick up a 5yo Leaf for. And, yes, that has a lot to do with the fact that original Leafs charge much slower on 240V, can’t do Rapid/Quick DC charging at all, don’t have thermally-controlled batteries (so they deteriorate quicker), and the cheap leases you get on new

It’s a lot easier to park than either of the others mentioned, for one thing. Also, isn’t buying you a better driving experience? An i3 is worlds better to drive than a Leaf or a Volt. Much more power, direct and communicative steering, firm ride - the Leaf is basically like driving a 10yo Camry, whereas the i3 is

Heated seats, LED headlights, an adjustable suspension, an algorithm specifically to make driving as natural as possible without letting you run into the wall (they’re tuned pretty mundane and middle-of-the-road regularly), and a color that makes you happy would keep you from paying attention? I have other cars to

I mean, if you’re okay paying that kind of money for something with no more equipment than a Civic LX, knock yourself out. Porsches are always a terrible value equation, you may as well get a few options (be they performance or comfort oriented) and enjoy the ride.

As a fellow Southerner, ventilated seats have been one of the most disappointing car features I’ve experienced. I’ve been in quite a few, and the only ones I’d go out of my way to get are JLR, at least theirs are actually cooled (still not that great though).

Not 718 related, but I saw a 911 GTS coupe in Lava Orange the other day and had to drive back around and take another look. I know they charge a ridiculous amount for that color, but damn, I think it’d actually be worth it.

With how great this looks, and all signs seem to be saying that it performs quote well, I think this would absolutely wipe the floor with the Macan if it weren’t for Porsche and Jaguar being on opposite ends of the luxury brand-equity spectrum. Porsche wins the interior look, and probably absolute performance, but

They don’t even sell the wagon in The States. Let that sink in for a second.

That Skoda Fabia wagon tho.

Experience would say yes, but just come a little further south, we have plenty here in NC.

It actually goes up like that. Honda is very cheap on a lot of things, and uses prop rods for the hood (my old ‘94 like this one did, and the new ‘15 in the garage still does), and you can just lean the hood back and let it rest on the windshield like that. It’s leaning ever-so-slightly backwards, so its not in much

I believe he’s referring to his particular car, not 5th-gens in general. But I had a 5th gen that led a fairly easy life, and it was just shit by 160k miles. I chalk it up to being very early build (Dec ‘93/Jan/94, can’t remember for sure).
