We had one of those in my family for forever - Grandmother bought it brand new (actually drove it out of the showroom) in January of ‘94, and my Mom bought it from her in late ‘97 when the 6th-gens came out.

I keep looking at them thinking ‘Where are the center caps?’ Hoping they give a better looking option to go along with these.

You’re probably right that the amount of people who have spent time in both a Chrysler Sebring and a Ferrari California is very, very small, but it doesn’t excuse the fact that it’s a major interior piece, and Ferrari did nothing other than paint it silver and write ‘Ferrari’ on it to cover up it’s awfulness. It

Except, umm, it’s not even remotely derived from a Grand Cherokee. Like, none of it, other than a few interior switchgear bits. It’s a tall hatchback built of of the Maserati sedan platform.

At least the parts that are swimming up are actually good parts now. Remember this?

Every time I’m in South Florida, I think ‘So this is where Jaguar and Maserati actually sell cars’.

You’re suprised how well you fit in a full-size car?

Valid question - I’m 6'3", and the R8 Spyder has just enough legroom to where I can make myself fit, but not as much as I’d really want. Comfortable enough for a few hours drive, though.

1) Have you driven any of the 570s, and 2) Do you want one of these twice as much (i.e. do you feel it’s worth twice the price)?

And every single one of those is a better-realized example than the Teslas.

The fact that there are people who think this makes the car better looking just goes to prove that it takes all kinds to make the world go round.

Hi! Another M6 GC driver. And, yes, DCT. There wasn’t even an M5/M6/550i with a manual available within hundreds of miles to test drive to see if I wanted to order one, so, with the mediocre reviews (plus the fact that the car is a complete handful as-is), I got the one the dealer had that I already liked.

That still doesn’t change the fact that it’s just an average luxury sedan, probably with a turbo 4. It may cost more, but it’s not any faster or better, just maybe a little more rare (outside of the big cities, that is).

Since when is a mid-level execu-sedan considered a ‘Supercar’? Don’t get me wrong, I think the Ghibli is just fine in isolation, but it doesn’t even make a good Maserati (it should blow the A7/GranCoupe/CLS out of the water, but to me, its barely more shapely than a 5/E).

Interesting. Near as I can tell, it’s somewhat similar (in concept) to what Lexus is planning to do with the new LC500h - ICE and Electric motors both funneled in through a traditional transmission.

Sorry, that was a little violent. But, perhaps you can understand how annoying it is driving in bro-truck-landia where every mutherfucker out there has a ‘sweet’ new LED bar that they just have to have on day or night driving around. Have seriously considered bashing a couple out when I see them in parking lots, but

If you actually drive around into oncoming traffic* with that lightbar on, FUCK. YOU.

“You need to keep your car on a battery tender, as Farah explains, because the thing will go dead, and then it takes 45 minutes and a handful of tools that nobody owns to even get access to the thing, hidden deep in some nether region of the vehicle in the name of optimal weight distribution.”

I’m doing about 24 highway (~80mph), 21 around town in the M6 GC, 16k miles on the car. Its hard to be too hard on it, it has a bizarre lack of traction. Could it be better? Of course. But I do know it could be a lot worse.

Yes! I actually kind of like that Mulsanne wheel - it’s a bit of a throwback design, kind of like the car itself. It does look a bit GMT400 (to my eyes - #childhood), but I’m okay with that. That Continental wheel though - that’s a bit of a mess.
