Wow, I can't even imagine it being my introduction to the SNES. I think it was literally the last game I bought for the system, and one of the few I bought brand new. The egg-throwing mechanic really throws you, even if you're seasoned, because I think it's completely unique to that game and its sequels, unless I'm

FUCK YEAH PAC-MAN 2! I beat that game so many times. THAT GAME IS HARD. THAT GAME WAS WEIRD. THAT GAME WAS TOTALLY AMAZING. Pac-Man + Weirdo Indirect Adventure Game + Amazing Sense of Humor + ABC Gum = Genius. I will always treasure my cart of it, because I know no one is ever. Ever. Ever. Going to re-release it.

Not enough issues of EGM in my life to even know the franchise existed. :(

Got it for Virtual Console!

Thanks! :D

Oh man, really hard to say. The first one is super easy, but it brings me a lot of joy. X2 is crazy hard as far as getting all of the upgrades, and I really enjoy it for that. X3 definitely puts you through the wringer, too, and it's an excellent game (being able to play as Zero helps, even though controlling him is

I can completely understand that. Apparently it was just called Super Mario: Yoshi's Island in Japan, which I think would have been better, as it wouldn't have skewed people's perspectives into expecting an SMW-like experience. It's not for everyone, but man, it's a great, great game.

Yoshi's Island on the DS was a great attempt at revisiting the formula, but the additional babies didn't work for me a lot of the time, and there was just some soul missing from it. Beat the hell out of that game nonetheless.

TOTALLY agree. The platforming, the music, the art design, the way it fed the 100% completion compulsion, the egg-firing mechanics, that amazing final boss battle. Perfection.

I'm afraid to look at the Encyclopedia Bombasticas with them playing it, because I like those guys so much and it pains me to see them missing the glory.

Sadly, I never played these back when the SNES was still on the market. :( I don't know why. My first JRPG was FFVIII.

Now go the Giant Bomb route and discuss Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island.

I like you.

ZombiU was amazing, so...yeah...?

I want to write a bunch of really, really nice, Mr. Rogers-style messages. Very reassuring, peaceful, and inspiring.

ZombiU questions your skepticism.

I died.

I am legitimately frightened by her gaze. And that is a good thing.

I've been quite enjoying the game on my Surface (fun fact: saying "my Surface" when talking about it to other people makes the name come across very, very gross). Could use some tweaking, but a very solid competitor to Game Dev Story.
