I have been inspired. I think I am going to make it a point in life to find an old Rolls Royce Silver Shadow or Corniche (i’ve seen some cheap ones) and murder it out, with large brakes, modern wheels (Rolls or other) and tires, maybe LS it (for the piss off factor).

It wouldn’t be fun - promise. Outside of the major roads, the Mustang is too wide for the average British street and we’re policed with speed cameras everywhere. In the States, it’s a normal car - it’s an everyman’s car. In the UK it would be an enthusiast’s second car that came out in the summer for shows.
To you good folks in the States, the Mustang can be had as an entry level car up to road-melting goodness. You can buy the base convertible version for your college-age daughter or, once you’ve ditched that no-good cheating husband, you can use the settlement to buy a Shelby and go full-on Thelma and Louise.
