Actully I work for GM and think Elon is a flake and Tesla is a company that is working very hard to lose any credibility they might have once had.

They dropped the redundant motor and controller on the steering rack. FSD vehicles get two for redundancy.

Not really. Steering is still a mechanical system. It has the same redundancies now as any assisted steering system. It appears this part is solely needed for FSD.  Now if a car has FSD and is missing this part there might be a problem.  Only Tesla can tell you that though.

Actually, post Model 3, a lot of them are people’s main car. They’re not insulated by price point so much as they are insulated by reputation as being the cool hip future tech.

Sounds like its not a problem for US cars.  Also Tesla already upgrades the computer on older units so Im sure they can put this in later too if someone in China decides to waste 63600 yuan on FSD.

If you have the HD wood trim holding your battery in it’s going to be a collectible. Just wait and see.

Reviews were good. And this car had an app-remote unlock feature. So the owner wasn’t there on pick-up or drop-off. They require a bunch of pictures, but none of the area with the “damage”. Wish I had taken more! 

Why don’t y’all just do a feature called “Ask a Trucker”? I’m sure I’m not the only one on here who drives commercial truck for a living; I’m also a driver trainer.
