So we force pilots to retire at 60 but we let walking corpses run the government?

had the same first thought. You cannot compare “trade in” value to a dealers lot price. Private party gets you close to what you can expect but as you said there is also a slight dealer premium. Odd that Lawrence would make that mistake. I think most car people know this.
Maybe that’s just his pick-up line.
this is my normal game plan if I don't have valuables in my bag!
I’d blame the airlines, who made checking bags so expensive that everyone packs a (too big for actual carry-on) carry-on bag. Then continue blaming them for not making sufficient space for all the carry-on bags they forced people to bring.
Are you a pimp?
Am I tacky enough to pull this off? I like to think so.
I don’t know if this is accurate, but there is a chance the conservative state government officials doesn’t want the explosive growth this plant will bring to happen inside the possibly more liberal jurisdiction of the Mason local government. Think of it as a form of gerrymandering.
My mother, sister, and I are all avid readers and I recently asked them how often they encounter spelling and grammatical errors in books, we all agreed it was an alarming amount considering print media presumably has to go through an editor before it is published. My mom brought up how many errors she finds in online…
They want what would be local tax money to be spent elsewhere in the state - most likely among those who voted for the comptroller.
Modern conservatives’ motto should be “Small Government For Me But Not For Thee.”
If Putin had bothered to learn real history instead of made-up history, possibly this exercise in futility could have been avoided.
Great comment, and I’d like to add one more thing that Putin and Hitler failed to account for: American manufacturing
Anyone who wants to have their mind blown, and understand a lot of the context around the Russia-Ukraine war, should spend some time studying the Eastern Front in WWII. There are a ton of great resources out there, but my person favorite is Dan Carlin’s “Ghosts of the Ostfront” series as part of the Hardcore History…
Probably not the first time a “Crystal Symphony” as be sought for arrest.
There also doesn’t seem to be any check and balance for the pedestrian crash standards. The consequence of the raised hoods and overall worse visibility incurred to comply with the rollover standards is deeply concerning.
“Harley’s are loud enough to damage your hearing right out of the factory.”
To me, the worst regulation is the CAFE ‘footprint rule’... that gives more lax MPG standards for large vehicles and are harder on small vehicles.
Whichever law says that European safety standards aren’t good enough. That kills so many options since most companies (rightfully) won’t jump through all the hoops and spend all the money to certify something that might have limited uptake. This goes for anything from options like sport seats up to complete cars.
Laws, or rather lack thereof, regarding basic roadworthiness in certain states. There are states in the union that let you drive around in any falling apart piece of shit, and that needs to stop. We need a national standard of roadworthiness, and it to be rigorously enforced.
