I’m one that prefers an old kimchi, I buy large jars and it just keeps getting better over the months that I have it. I’m always shocked by the difference when I have to get a new jar.

I disagree, a beer with a lot of roasted malt flavor definitely makes a difference compared to using something like Bud Light. It depends on the dish, but you definitely want those flavors with chili or braised meats.

I think you mean Metruggle or Struggletroid, since the term is really rooted in the Metroid structure that was applied to the Castlevania theme. Hell, even the logo looks eerily close to Metroid.
