This is exactly what I've been needing. It works excellently. Now Google should get a hint, and let their Chrome Mac users have a custom tab, rather than a Christmas-gift spoiler tab.

@Michael Huang: Having read that page, and looked at the screenshots, it suggests that you cannot save the files - you must upload them to an FTP or MobileMe. Is that true? I have neither available to me.

I wanted to record a live streaming event (that will be video, at a pre-disclosed site), via my MacBook, and save or export is only as an MP3/4. I looked all over for a free program for OSX that could do this - but any one I found said that it needed the stream URL (they seem to be geared towards online Radio players

Thanks a lot Adam... I played my Christmas list on my iPod today... only 7 songs (but hey, one of them is the iTunes freebie by The Knife... what a great Christmas song!).

@jupiterthunder: ... do have a friend that watches everything except sports with captions or subtitles on..."

@jupiterthunder: For me, if not for foreign films, they're always useful in British films, for instance. The accents can get so thick that you have no choice but to turn them on. Ronin is one that drove me crazy, because the characters were so hard to understand.

1:55-2:02 is hilarious.

"...as they continue to add more and more videos to their catalog".

@harry_lime1949 @Martin Daly: Yeah, because I wasted my time with it. The program locks up your computer when adding TV listings, no matter your country of origin. It's a sucky program.

@jamet.matthieu: What's with the bad reviews... are they accurate, or did they they apply to an older version?

@valzispam: I set up a 20 show list of the shows I want to see listings for. Switched to that guide, and it was completely blank.

@Ace_: I would think [www.locatetv.com] probably would do that better. You can choose individual episodes that have already aired, or the shows themselves, and they email you once a week with updates.

@austin316gb: Clearly you don't live in America. That f-ing program doesn't even have NBC.

@bakari001: I used it just a few days ago on my Macbook without a problem. Don't know what your problem could be, as it's just an online app.

@ForestFire0: Any other time, I'd be all over it, but I think because it's Jay Leno we're talking about, I'll put as much energy into it as he does his TV show.

@Brett Clark: Me too... I don't have a DirecTV Tivo, if that exists, but I own a lonely DirecTV DVR.

I love that Amazon gives these away, but the hardest part is always finding 3 singles worth my purchase (especially in this rushed scenario) that I haven't already listened to or bought.

@ForestFire0: And feel free to post the screenshot as a reply here, so I can giggle :)

@ttocs: I don't consider Journey's to be a real shoe store. It's more of a hipster fantasy store. Go inside, and rub yourself on their ironic clothing... and if you can still walk afterward, stumble into Hot Topic for a nap in their gloriously cramped aisles, next to the body jewelry case. Then go home

@NoBullet: I perceive this is where American television is headed. I have a hard time watching most shows with bouncing ads popping up every half a second.
