You also have to think, these people go through all this work to give their app a higher ranking, which in turn leads to more sales. Which leads to Google/Apple making money since their app store is being used to sell it. What’s the incentive for Google/Apple to stop it? Reputation maybe, but money usually talks…

I love me some taco bell but I did not like the naked chicken taco. My first thought after taking the first bite was “eww there’s that cheap frozen chicken patty taste”.
