If I can't open the bag, I treat it as a sign that I shouldn't be eating them & get an apple instead ;)

550Gb of photos and video. Have them on an internal SATA drive for quick access, and backed up onto a 2Tb external USB drive which is periodically hooked up for backups (using AllwaySync) and kept in a fire safe the rest of the time. Best pics get uploaded to a private album using Picasa. Same goes for video, but up

Yes; Netvibes.. it gives me everything I want in one place for when I boot up in the morning. Facebook, LinkedIn, CCTV cams (via HTML widget), Twitter, BBC news, TorrentFreak, etc, etc. Much easier than visiting each site in turn.

The Sandisk Sansa E250 player I have will mount as external storage.. makes it easy to copy stuff to it & use batch scripts (using USB Detect and Launch on the PC) to do more advanced sync. I'm running the Rockbox firmware on it too, which makes it into a great little player!

I've used a dish drying rack to store all the pan lids in a similar way. Works a treat & is easily slid into tall drawer.

After Lifehacker recommended the original Soluto I installed it on Win7 64-bit. It seemed to work okay, but now it won't upgrade itself, and when I tried uninstalling it just hangs at the registry cleanup task. Can't get rid of the damn thing.. even with their special stand-alone uninstaller their support guys tell

I put all my lids in a plate drying rack in a drawer.. works a treat!

Last week I bought a TP-Link TL-WA701ND for £18 from Amazon & it does a great job for the price. I've set it as a Universal Extender so that it piggybacks on top of my other AP.. giving me better coverage throughout the house. For the same price as some of the more expensive APs I could get a few of these to give me

Thankfully my ISP (IDnet in the UK) provides an RSS feed of my usage, and 3rd party developers have written Windows 7 and Android widgets to display that info in a nice way.

@virgilstar: A few GB of photos maybe.. but what about the GBs of video that HD camcorders spit out. Start a family and you'll be generating about 8Gb per hour of video of your offspring.

This is something I'd really like to see in Notepad++. In fact, I've raised it as a feature request if people would like to vote it up, that'd be great!

We use a Magazine File with 3 x A4 envelopes.. 1 for me, 1 for the wife, and 1 for receipts. The personal ones are for bank statements, pay slips, etc. The receipts are for stuff we might need to take back (not groceries). Everything else is shredded. The A4 envelopes are archived off yearly, with fresh envelopes put

@kschang: Motorolla Droid in the US got the 2.2 update.. the UK is still waiting for it. Meh.

@jitteryjim: Does it work well for video streaming? Is format support any good?

1080p is troublesome? It seems to be coping fine with that MKV of Serenity.

I use USB Detect and Launch (Windows) to detect when I've plugged in the phone via USB.. a script is kicked off to sync all the important content onto my PC.

@mipakr: Me too; been using that calendar for years. Customised it with my own Greasemonkey script to make a note of the shows I want to keep track of & watch.
