I was about to write almost the same exact reply. Engineering...... the most awesome and mind crushingly boring job of all time. The duality is astounding. Fun fact: I actually am excited about this because facilities here just arbitrarily decided that all of our custom testing equipment has to be UL approved. I

I'm at work. Can I get a clue as to what I'm missing?

This video makes my patriotism tingle.

its a wire to the battery... with a fuse(hopefully), and sometimes a relay to shut it off when the car is off.

Inductive charging: because wires are a pain in the ass. Don't hold your breath, though. Inductive charging is far less efficient than conductive charging, so wires will certainly stay for a little longer.

aaaaaactually. With modern tuned systems, you can get around 90% efficiency moving a lot of power. Check yourself before you wreck yourself.

All those buttons!

My eyes. I work for a German engineering company.

They are. German engineers tend to wear ties more.

Yup. so... In summary, it's not sexist, it's just the sad sad sad sad truth.

I'm electrical.... It might be worse.

yeah, techs don't often wear ties.

as an engineer in the automotive industry, I must submit that it is perfectly normal to walk through engineering and not see any women. There simply aren't very many, and its common that you might not see any on a typical walk around.

AMC has always been the brave one, says N2Skylark:

Here is one of many articles showing it is true

who?

That guy.

no. Batteries have a thing called internal resistance. This limits possible output current, and, funfact, is how they determine a battery's health.

This! a thousand times this. Whoever does this doesn't understand SI units.

Shouldn'a dun that.
