See, this shows how dumb the average person is in regards to cars.

Gas prices. 

I drive a Model S and #2 is my all-time peeve. My best friend drives a WRX. His feedback on #2:

Your list is good but the worst design of the decade is... Jalopnik. I don’t know what the hell happened but nothing loads properly, comments are jangled, screen left is fine, I guess, though I’m not sure why anyone bothered to spend the time programming it.

It’s stated in the video that the car was unoccupied when first responders arrived. The driver bailed.

You’d think they’d have bollards at the ends to keep this from happening.

The classic run away and crack a brew at home due to the “traumatic experience” to get out of a DUI was definitely employed here.

I am going to guess that a bit o’ alcohol was involved in this series of events and the driver retained enough sense to hot foot it out of there once they realized what they did.

It’s been a while

At least rental use shows up in the records. I’d be much more concerned about prior Uber / Lyft use, which is next to impossible to discern. Makes shopping for a used Prius a highly fraught experience.

I think Hertz sales let’s you rent before you buy. So you get a 3 day test drive of the actual car you are considering and it’s free if you do end up buying
