@tammygarrison: I think the saying was something like, "No body stays dead in comics except Barry Allen, Uncle Ben, Jean Grey, and Bruce Wayne's parents."

@Kaiser-Machead v.2.1.1: "If a man wants to be called Ochocinco, then by God, we should call him Ochocinco!" ;^)

I remember reading in a Batman/Superman comic that you can swim in quicksand just like in water (it was a Batman/Superman team up against a Louisiana vampire in the 80s). I double-checked it, and found that most people drown because they panic, not because they get "sucked" under. I haven't been too worried about

@FishyFishyFishy: As I said, I really like my tablet combo...not too worried about my new school getting smartboards.

@gybryant: $6000...holy cow. Last SmartBoards I helped my department buy (about 4 years ago) were around $1500 (without projector).

@FishyFishyFishy: There IS more that can be done on a smart board or tablet device. In years when I have students with IEPs that require sets of notes be given out, I would usually save my work electronically and then print/email/post a copy. Yes, I could scan in an overhead, or make copies of an overhead, but that

@bawheid: Didn't you see Avatar? I am sure these trees must be intelligent also—we just don't know how to link to them!

@skywalker24: Yeah, I can see that about Padme. I actually liked her in Phantom Menace (no matter how boring the movie itself was). She was a strong, confident figure who was fighting for her planet. But in ROTS, she just rolls over and DIES because of Anakin's turn?!?!?! She leaves her twin babies behind because

@skywalker24: I agree. I didn't realize it at first, but in later viewings of ROTJ, I was a little "horrified" to realize that Luke had used force choke on the Gammorean Guards. Luke was closer to the dark side than ever.

@WookieLifeDay: Hey! How about a "spoiler" alert for that ending of The Other Guys?!?!?!?

@tucker augie'ben'doggy: Ok, this is REALLY off topic...but I love that profile pic...took me a moment to realize what was going on...I thought Lifehacker had down-graded my account ranking to some sub-basement level with some new ranking system! :^)

@macshome: I just collected them, and then used them to make a bandoleer a la Chewbacca. Add a gorilla mask, a bowcaster made from a couple of sticks and a really bad Wookie growl, and the fun never ends!

@Mr.Gawn: I'm in the "I liked it" camp. My kids liked it too. (See reply to Jimmy if interested.)

@Jimmy From The Block: I thought it was pretty good. I think it is pretty comparable to the first Karate Kid when I watched them the other day (Karate Kid 2 was my favorite, and this one is not near it). My 9 year old twins loved it.

@serenada: I thought the same thing. I think that is the same promo pic they use on TNT, just with the shopped background!

@yubnubforever: I feel it was a little gratuitous myself—more for shock value than for actually moving the plot along.

Ok, here is my question—I feel a little sheepish about asking this, but here goes...
