Just because you CAN doen’t mean you SHOULD.

Look, I’m not one of those “IT HAS TO BE 12K/30000fps” nerds, and I certainly see the appeal of having The Witcher 3 to play whenever/wherever...but for fuck sake...this looks like hot, steamy, stomped on dog shit.

The breadth of the world, the dynamic lighting, the insane draw distance, etc., etc., are all huge parts

Wasn’t the ‘doesn’t run as high a resolution / look as good” a huge reason PSP/Vita games were knocked score wise? It’s always been interesting that that argument went out the window the second the switch was announced.

540? Yikes. Granted, I’m pretty tolerant of smaller reses on small screens. I’m not too concerned with that though. TW3 is a big game, and getting it to run well on Switch is quite a feat in itself.

Nintendo’s stellar history with VR claims another victim.

It’s interesting that Sublime has had much more mainstream staying power than their cornier white guy reggae brothers in arms, 311. I still hear Sublime songs on the radio frequently, but I rarely, if ever hear 311 songs anymore.

The highlight of my weekend!

I want to be excited, but, I dunno, I’m just not feeling this one.

I’ll probably still pick it up, given my enduring love for SotN—and hopefully I’ll be pleasantly surprised by it—but just not feeling the hype right now.

No because I took second grade in my home country where I was learning to write 50,000 distinct characters, so it’s actually difficult to balance the 3 languages that I speak and write.
I’m sure you’d understand, what with the 3 languages you’d also speak and write?

I question how good that experience will be without separate hardware to power it, especially when you can get an original Vive headset for $500, and that will likely go down even further once the Index starts shipping.

Remember when you learned how to write numerical notation in 2nd grade?

The BOTW emulator stuff has been out for a couple years now without and CD from Nintendo.

Someone said this somewhere else (I think Eurogamer) and deserves being mentioned again: Easter Eggs should be hidden from the end-user, but never from the publisher and platform holder.

I’m kinda torn between “this guy has been screaming help for a while” and “did he really have to stream live the SWAT coming for him?”.

slower games are fine but I noticed a huge difference in Moto Racer 4 when I downloaded it instead of streaming it. The input lag I was having on that racing game meant I was constantly slamming into the wall and going off road. It’s a shame, I went back to try PS Now after being blown away by the Google Stream beta

I tried it about a month ago. Games like Until Dawn and various rpgs were fine but as far as racing games like Dirt Rally or shooters like Battlefield Hardline were pretty frustrating to play because of the latency.

Can you take screenshots on ps2-ps3 games on psnow yet? That is main reason I’ve been sticking to playing classics on xbox one instead of ps4

You mentioned the latency being an issue. Is it any better now since it launched? I think I last tried PS Now back in 2015 and even with a gigabit connection it wasn’t perfect.
