Each has its own quirks, but overall they're pretty much even. Since you didn't google the question, I assume you're looking for my opinion. So I'll just tell you why I personally chose Android:

Try going to the Ubuntu Software Center and look for "Restricted Extras".

I don't know if the latest HTC update for the EVO has this, but I rooted and loaded Cyanogen 6, and it can orient the screen correctly on all positions. So I know the ability is there.

I do 30 min long public talks every once in awhile. Don't think of it as a presentation, but rather as a casual conversation among people you know (and you've probably seen them at social events before, so picturing that setting will relax you).

I never kept a checkbook before using mint, precisely because I'd always forget to update it for every transaction. If you have Mint and a smartphone, you can already keep track of your accounts there.

I had a pair of Shures (can't remember which model). They were great until one of the split wires started breaking from the joint, so it stopped working for the left driver. Very fragile.

Then again, you really only experience high background noise when you're commuting, being in public...that's where you need them the most.
