Thanks for the correction. Noted. :)

Then they wouldn't be MMO's... they'd be a different genre. Once you take the guns out of FPS's and give them Swords, then you have an action-RPG. :)

Alright, then tell me, why is one of the most repeated complaints about SW:ToR that there aren't enough race choices? That they're all humanoid? There's quite a bit of variance in the type of human-like aliens, but in Cowboy Bebop there are none. Also, the show revolved around a small crew. It was a fairly small story

MMO's, in general, have some staples that make them MMO's. From what I can see, after reading through your post, is that you're just burnt out on MMO's. You may want to take a break for awhile. I took a year and a half off of WoW and came back for Cataclysm. It helped a lot with my viewpoint. A break might do you

I like Cowboy Bebop, but the universe isn't quite fleshed out enough for an MMO. Also, there are only humans. And, though that shouldn't matter if the story is good enough, the visual sameness will definitely take a toll.

The default button layout is very similar to WoW, which makes sense. But, the combat is different as the abilities are different. And, every class has a default heal ability. As a Bounty Hunter, I could choose to go Vanguard and be a ranged Tank (works the same as the Trooper on the Republic side). Agents that take

You and me both. It was one of my all time favorite series.

I think that Bioware has done an exceptional job with this game. I suppose that comparing it to WoW is easy short hand, but when you really look at it, it's not similar enough to WoW to continue making that comparison. Here's things that SW:TOR does that WoW does not:

Skyward Sword: The Legacy of Kain Edition

I hereby name everyone in this thread cohorts of the Anti-Joke Chicken:

I was referring to the fact that there was an article put on an online blog for gamers that have no access, at all, to the internet. It's ok if you didn't catch the humor Captain Literal. ;)

If they were chauffeured, you'd have to drive backwards into the drive through for the blind passenger to use it.

I wonder if this article was written for the same reason that they put braille on the number keys of Drive through ATMs. :)

Awww, thanks. :)

You're right, dependent on the country, that it is a criminal act. But, as far as criminal acts go, it's an infraction. It's copyright infringement, not theft. It's the equivalent to Jaywalking or spitting on the sidewalk as far as crimes go. Theft would be taking something physical. But, yes, there is an ethical

The dickish way in which you've been attempting to make your points throughout this thread and a couple threads underneath have made me decide to pirate a game today. I wasn't going to pirate, but, due to your insipid, vapid, dickish arguments, I've decided to pirate. So, you have, through your actions, contributed to

Weird, I made this exact same argument the other day, on another thread, and was accused of sophistry. Now, there's a study that backs what I (and many others) have said. Vindication tastes delicious... like a Snickers. It really satisfies. :)

I think Joel's having a rough day. But, as an outside observer, you're completely right.

I'm fairly tired of it, but, hey, it beats the pants off of piracy discussions. :)

I think it's one of those slightly witty asides that's repeated so often, it's just become a continued slight. I think that it's not just this one article, it's the accumulation of articles and barely witty asides that have been written over the years that bring this kind of reaction about. I personally feel the same
