Yep.  Definitely don’t get the criticism on this.  Based on the headline, I was expecting him to get tripped up mid-air, do an awkward flip mid-air, and barely avoid disaster.

I haven’t seen all of his technicals, but Durant earned these two. I get that refs will usually let you give players some leeway after the first T, but I don’t see why they should have to. Even Kerr had a hard time pretending he was made about the second T. History is probably starting to play into this. I’m sure

Now playing

I would agree if it were just one instance of him putting his hand on someone’s shoulder. But have you watched any of the videos? They are definitely creepy. He seems to have a real fetish for sniffing women’s and little girls’ hair. A lot. Even taking into account the likely source of these videos, they look bad.

It was the right play by Zion and probably the right play by RJ. Zion takes the screen, dribbles to his right, sees a wall of three defenders standing right in front of him. So he passes to an open RJ, and RJ let’s fly. Maybe he could have drove and looked to get a foul or pass, but with time running down, it’s

That makes more sense.  I thought maybe the goalie just guessed wrong because he dives to his left, but the ball hits the back of the net to the right of the goalie.

I’ve noticed it, which is why I commented on it.  I’ve never thought about whether they actually practice it.  Thanks for the snark though.

Definitely not a coincidence that Philly went on a huge run after Smart was ejected.

I am very impressed with how gracefully these extremely large humans can fall.  They must practice this, right?

My money would absolutely be on Smart.

In this case, I’d say the public humiliation is consequence enough.

It’s a massive stretch to call this spousal abuse. He grabbed for something that was in his wife’s hand, and the chair she was on tipped over. He didn’t strike or hit her.  It was stupid, immature and childish - like a couple of kids fighting over a toy.  But it’s not abuse.

Sorry, but I am having a little trouble getting righteous indignation righteously indignationed over this.  They looked like a couple of kids fighting over a toy.  It was immature, childish, stupid.  But not abusive.

Highlight truther here.  Pretty sure it was his left shoulder.

Is that an argument for or against Zion hanging it up for the rest of the year?

As much as I think Deadspin’s gone off the reservation with its takes re Harper, Machado and Davis, I can’t disagree with this. The best argument for Zion staying is he has a chance to achieve basketball immortality by capping off one of the greatest seasons in college basketball history with a national championship.

Most years, I would agree. But I love Williamson. One of the funnest athletes I’ve ever watched, plus he seems to not be a dick. I’m actually wouldn’t mind if Duke won it all this year, just because it seems like this amazing player should cap off his season with a championship. If he sits out the rest of the year,

Why is the other guy bad? Lawrence is full-court pressing, the other guy is standing right there, so he sets a half-hearted screen. No big deal. It’s not like he floored Lawrence with some blindside screen.

Yeah.  Lawrence looks like a dick in this video.

Yep.  Lawrence is the only one who looks like a douche bag in this video.  Even if the guy was talking trash, your the qb on the national championship team.  Ignore him.

That seems like the Lebron/Lakes spin to a lot of us. I don’t think N.O. leaked the Lakers’ offer to get back at the Lakers. I think they did it so they could get a better sense whether other teams (i.e., the Celtics) were going to beat that offer.
